USEFUL INFORMATION
DESIGN
At Fondant Fox, every cake is completely unique and designed personally for each customer. When designing your cake, consider the style and overall theme of the occasion as well as the personality of the individuals for whom the cake is being made. If you have been particularly inspired by any magazine cuttings, swatches of fabric, photographs or flowers, then this can also be incorporated into the cake design.
LEAD TIMES
In order to provide you with the best service possible, I require sufficient time to design and process your commission. The following lead-times are therefore recommended: Wedding Cakes and Favours 3 to 6 months. Bookings are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. For weddings and celebrations during the peak-season (May to September) I recommend placing your order as early as possible.
ORDERING
To order your cake, firstly contact Fondant Fox (via email preferably) with your basic requirements. This can include date of wedding, number of portions, size of portions (ie. finger-sized or dessert) any particular style you have in mind and also flavours (these can all be approximate at this stage). From there I can provide an estimated quotation and you can then decide if you'd like to go ahead with full design/ordering.
PORTION GUIDE
Ordinarily Fondant Fox cake tiers are 3 inches deep and servings can be based on finger-sized party portions (1 x 1 x 3 inches) or dessert-sized portions (2 x 1 x 3 inches).
FLAVOURS
I offer an extensive choice of flavours for you to choose from, the most popular being - Victoria Sponge, Rich Chocolate, Lemon, Carrot, Red Velvet and Fruit. If you have a particular flavour in mind though, just let me know and I'll do my best to accommodate this for you.
INGREDIENTS
All cakes are made using quality ingredients, including Madagascan Vanilla Extract, Belgium Chocolate, Fortnum and Mason Preserves.
PRICING
As all cakes are completely bespoke to each customer, they are priced individually based on your requirements.
DELIVERY & COLLECTION
Delivery and set up can be arranged for wedding venues within the London area. I will liaise with your venue to schedule a delivery slot and to check that all arrangements for assembly such as the cake stand and cake table have been taken care of. The delivery service is charged on an hourly basis determined by the travel distance and the time and labour required for assembling the cake. For wedding venues outside of the London area, unfortunately I do not deliver, but cakes can be collected.
COLLECTION
Should you wish to collect your order, I will provide you with full transport, assembly and storage instructions where required. Please note that once collected, the full responsibility for the safety of the order is with the client and Fondant Fox Cake Design is not liable for any damages thereafter.
CARE
Fondant Fox cakes do not like being put in the fridge! Once you have received your cake, it just needs to be stored in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight.
